Operation Smile is a rather unique charity.  They tend to something that is both physically and incredibly emotional: a child’s smile.

See, Operation Smile provides surgeries and support for children who are born with facial deformities such as cleft lips and cleft palates.  Such deformities make it incredibly difficult for a child to eat, laugh, or even fit in with their community.  Often times they grow up as outsiders and are brutally teased and abused for their condition.

Operation Smile helps to repair and improve children’s lives throughout the world, and 5 North Inc. is working to help them do just that.  The company has pledged to raise money this year for the charity and is working to do so through a variety of fun events.

Events include a City Sips for Smile event, where team members and their friends and family are invited to various bars throughout Manhattan to raise money.  With a different fundraiser Sips event scheduled once every month, there is plenty of fun to be had and money to raise.  The group also organized a Karaoke event in September and plans several more interesting events for the future.
